TronWeekly is a dedicated cryptocurrency news website covering TRON, blockchain developments, and the broader crypto market. As a niche news publisher, it depends heavily on organic search traffic and Google News inclusion to reach its audience of crypto investors and enthusiasts worldwide.

When we inherited the project, the site was in critical condition — hemorrhaging traffic due to mass de-indexing, eroded topical authority from years of thin and spammy content, and a complete loss of sitelinks in branded search results.

Third-party aggregator sites had begun outranking TronWeekly for its own brand name — a clear signal that Google no longer recognised it as the authoritative source in its niche.

Content Cleanup & Topical Authority Rebuild

We audited and removed or consolidated thin, spammy news content that was diluting the site's topical relevance. By pruning the long tail of low-quality articles, we signalled to Google that TronWeekly is a trustworthy, focused source — not a content farm. This directly improved how the site is understood within the crypto news entity cluster.

Structured Data & News Entity Recognition

We implemented proper schema markup — including NewsArticle, Organization, and breadcrumb structured data — to formally re-establish TronWeekly's identity as a news entity in Google's knowledge graph. This is the foundation for sitelinks, rich results, and Google News eligibility.

Cloudflare-Level Technical Optimisation

We applied Cloudflare configuration changes to improve crawl efficiency — ensuring Googlebot could access and index priority pages faster. This included caching rules, robots.txt refinement, and crawl budget optimisation to redirect Googlebot's attention away from junk pages and toward quality content.

Editorial Pattern Enforcement (Google News Standard)

We introduced a consistent editorial writing framework aligned with Google News quality guidelines — covering article structure, author signals, publication timestamps, and factual accuracy standards. This consistency is what Google's News algorithms look for when deciding which publishers to feature.

Technical Signals for Sitelinks & Brand SERP Recovery

We fixed the underlying technical and entity signals required for Google to restore sitelinks on branded queries. This included site structure improvements, internal linking hierarchy, and homepage authority signals — effectively telling Google that TronWeekly is the most relevant result for its own brand name.

The Results

Nearly 4x Traffic in 90 Days

Moving from position 20.9 to 7.7 pushed the site from page 2 into the top results — the primary driver behind a near 4x traffic increase in just 3 months.

Sitelinks Restored

TronWeekly's branded SERP is clean again. Sitelinks reappeared in Google Search results, and aggregator sites have been suppressed from ranking above the brand on branded queries.

Indexed Page Count Stabilising

Google Search Console data shows a clear upward crawling trend visible from late April through May — confirming that Googlebot is now actively re-discovering and indexing the site's cleaned-up content.
